Education is the most powerful tool for empowerment. Our mission is to provide quality education specially to under-privileged rural girls.
Objective:
The objective of Jangi Singh Girls College is to produce graduates from the rural area who become intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually competent individuals capable of competing for higher accomplishments in life.
Jangi Singh Girls College:
The College is spread over a 2.5 acre campus in the village of Shiwpur, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Here some 580 predominantly rural girls receive their education free of charge that covers:
• Tuition
• Books and supplies
• Uniforms & warm clothing
• Transportation scholarships (for those with no means to provide their own)
• Administrative fees for State Board examinations
The college is fully accredited from the State Board of Education, Uttar Pradesh.
There is a separate Middle School for girls for 6-8 grade education. Most rural girls are offered preparatory education to get admitted to the 6th grade since their elementary education is very weak
Curriculum:
For High School (9-10 grades) the diploma is offered in Arts and Sciences from the Uttar Pradesh State Board.
The Intermediate College (grades 11-12) is accredited by U.P. Board to offer curriculum in:
• Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry & Math)
• Biological Sciences (Zoology & Botany)
• Commerce
• Arts
